Jul. 20th, 2016 07:52 pmYahoo has a history of buying free-use websites with lots of fandom activity, attempting to monetize them, failing, and pulling the plug on them; e.g. Geocities. Now after a few years in the Yahoo family it looks like the same ultimate fate is waiting in the wings for Tumblr, which has been my primary social forum for several years. There's lots of stuff on my tumblr that I'd be sorry to lose, but the only entry of my own composition that I feel compelled to make sure is secure is the one from 2013 when I'd figured out I'm autistic. So I've crossposted it to LiveJournal, backdated (cuz at LJ you can do that), and from now on that's the version I'll link to. There are other entries I may import over as and when I think of them.

April 2nd is some sort of special day within the special month and everyone's supposed to wear blue tomorrow to show support. However actual autistic people like me and our supporters will be wearing red because Autism Speaks sucks.
