( Lots of STAR WARS fans were dismayed by the innovation in EPISODE I of the basis of Jedi powers being microscopic symbiotes called midichlorians, on the grounds that till then Jediism was egalitarian but now it was hereditary. Silly, unimaginative STAR WARS fans. )
