I've given up on following webcomics, I think. I stopped keeping up with my daily trawls around the time my wife went into palliative care because it was feeling like a chore. Attempts to take it up again since she died - even just weekly, even only my top favorites - have all petered out. Every once in awhile I wonder what's going on with those characters, but it's been weeks since that was enough to drive me to actually look. I think it's part and parcel of the same thing I realized about Arthur, King of Time and Space about halfway through its run, that led me to drop drawing general interest comics a few months earlier than I dropped reading them: though comic strips are how my fanfiction is best manifested, it's fanfiction rather than comic strips I'm most interested in and satisfied by and always has been. I'll always wonder what would have been different and better today if I had realized this in 2004, or 1995.
