Back in the days when I regularly posted fanfiction to Usenet, this was my story that inspired more discourse on alt.drwho.creative than any other. It's set just after Voyager returns to the Alpha Quadrant in the series finale, but was composed and posted previous to the final-season episode Author, Author and I have the posting headers to prove it.
This is a slightly revised version of the story. It's now set in the chronology-prorated crossover multiverse of my "sketches" rather than the chronology of my "Dailies" and prose fanfiction; the difference is described here. This means that, since the story's set just after Star Trek: Voyager's series finale, the concurrent point in Doctor Who's timeline is just after whatever's most recently aired; so the Doctor is David Tennant's and the girl companion is the one who won't debut till next spring.* Edit: This is the only reprint to LJ of existing stories from my original fanfiction website which is converted to the prorated chronologies' paradigm like this. All others remain as originally set. Few stories written since 2005 and posted only here on LJ are crossovers as of this writing (early 2010), and even "sketches" are now being set in the same chronology paradigm as the rest of my fanfiction.
There are some differences between the Star Trek: Voyager characters' backstory in this story and their story as portrayed in the original sources. But it's the nature of those differences that this story's version is the true universe and it's the events portrayed in the sources that, where different, are AU. It's all explained in the story.
In Thy Image was the title of the episode of the unrealized mid-70s Star Trek revival series whose script was adapted into Star Trek: The Motion Picture.
This story is a work derivative of intellectual properties owned by the BBC and by Paramount Pictures, but it infringes on no market of theirs, and no other profit has been made.
Chapters will be posted daily.

*In the original version, the Doctor was Rowan Atkinson's and the girl companion was Padme Amidala.
