I've been bothered a few weeks now that I've been writing as if I'm not aware there was Doctor Who previous to 2005, and as if Doctor Who were all I watch. Yesterday it hit me why that is: For good or ill, the inspiration I've been getting has almost all been along the lines of speculation on upcoming developments between the Doctor and his supporting cast. Perhaps in my previous ten years' online fanfiction I've just already mined out what there was for me in the Doctor Who that already existed in both the source itself and in crossover potential. Another factor is that I wrote in the asexual Time Lords school of thought and 21st century Doctor Who is chipping away at that; though I may have mined all I could have till now, now there's retroactively a new dimension to it that I haven't touched. Anyway, here's one of my reprint stories, to keep a balance. I'm thinking of doing new stories in cartoons too (if I ever start having real, whole stories come to me again), which would look much better than these do because these are from my earliest days learning to work a scanner.
