When ST:DS9 was being cast, the producers looked at actors of all races for Jake Sisko, but Cirroc Lofton wasn't cast until Avery Brooks was cast as Ben Sisko, because they were going for someone of the same race. Is that racist?

Well, white people came from somewhere. *wink*

Then there is "Sandra Laing, a black girl born to white Afrikaner parents in South Africa back in the days of white rule and apartheid, of keeping the races apart. It seems that her white father was her true father: blood tests showed that his blood matched hers. Sandra also looked too much like her brother Adriaan, who was white. Although Sandra’s great grandparents were all white, someone in her family tree must have been passing for white, probably several people on both sides. Their genes came together in her. Most white Afrikaners are only about 89% white by blood."

My thoughts on the subject of Fantastic 4 are that they should have braved both being black, or all four of them just because!

Precisely my line of thinking. Johnny and Sue are biological siblings, so if that means going with the #2 casting choice for one of them because the actor looks more like he or she is related to the other actor who has been cast, so be it.

(I will state that I think David Hasselhoff was a better Nick Fury than Samuel L. Jackson. Not so much because Hasselhoff is white, but because I know that all of the fanboys/fangirls who think that Samuel L. Jackson Is The Coolest Nick Fury Ever will go into a rabid frenzy at the very thought of someone suggesting otherwise.)
