Okay, now when are we going to see Spike in a conversation with Milton Fine?

Since the only reason Angel and Booth appear together above is because I once briefly entertained the notion that they're the same person, I don't suspect we shall see Spike with Milton Fine. My cartoons are about characters, not actors.

Considering the various crossovers that you have done, I would have thought you would see the humor in a strip featuring two (or more) characters that were played by the same actor. Like T.J. Hooker and Jim Kirk. Or Khan and Mr. Roarke. Or Jim West and Pappy Boyington. Or . . .

But I don't see humor in it. I can see how it might be funny, once, for as long as four panels tops, for two characters to realize they look alike while the reader alone knows that there's a trans-fourth-wall reason why they do. But after you've done that gag once, there's no more tension in it, it's been done, it's blown; and then crossover humor has to come from how the characters interact, and that's true whether they look alike or not so what's the point?

It's funnier if they DON'T realize they look alike.

Then it's only a funny subtext. That still leaves me needing to have another, different, real, in-character reason to put them together in the first place. Yet you keep presenting it to me as if it were an intrinsically sufficient reason in itself.

You know, McCoy would be the perfect Halloween costume for Temperance. Of course, she would probably be saying something like, "Zack suggested it, but I have no idea why . . . "
