About this Creative Process cartoon from a few months ago:

When you read this cartoon, what do you see as my attitude toward my fanfiction cartoons, and toward my general interest cartoon? I'll explain why I want to know in a followup post after I've had what seems to be a significant amount of responses. Thanks.

Hmmmm. Sounds like you're thinking AKOTAS was an attempt to jump your life off in a different direction, but you're not happy with the results you're getting for your effort.

Seems to me that the fanfiction cartoons are the ones you enjoy without having to think about it or work at it, though you know not many people will appreciate it, while AKOTAS is the reverse - at times you struggle with it, but you think more people will like it. So I guess your reasons for doing them are self-oriented for the fanfiction cartoons and audience-oriented for AKOTAS? I don't think either reason inherently leads to a positive or negative attitude, but it's probably easier to develop a negative attitude about cartoons you're doing for others, since they can start to feel like an obligation in a way cartoons done for yourself don't.
