I took "It won't be just one thing, it'll be lots of stuff" to mean it wasn't just the TV series. So when the BBC Two docudrama was announced, I counted that as part of the stuff, and I tentatively included the book releases as well.

(He also said "the plans are changing all the time". Maybe one of the changes was based on the traditional factor of not having as much money as they expected...)

I hear a lot of people are put out, but I'm not, if only because the day before the trouble started I happened to have it occur to me: 1) I'd read that writing the anniversary special was the next thing on Moffat's plate 2) I'd read nothing about [21st century] Season 8 having been written or shot 3) That suggested the anniversary special would air before Season 8.

[EDIT] The only thing that makes me cranky about it is, spreading Season 7 across two calendar years screws with my chronology spreadsheet.
