I had two thoughts when I read 5/2:

1. That's some good use of camera angles/framing/whatever the technical term is, there.

2. Just this once I wish AKOTAS had one of those fancy websites with comment boxes and things, because I really want to see what effect this plot development had on the readers who didn't know it was coming.

1. Thanks. It was serendipity, really. In adapting this scene from the draft novel whence this year's space arc developments derive, when scripting I just crammed all that dialog into one panel and hoped it would fit. Only when time came to draw did I think, "When Meliagrant reaches for his aser blade, shall I try to figure out how to render him doing that, or shall I try to hide that he's doing it? Owait there isn't room to show it."

2. I feel your pain. I haven't had any reaction at all. Perhaps because I unwisely tweeted earlier in the week that readers probably know she'll be all right in the end because she's been in flashforwards past now. But I followed that up with another tweet noting that I don't recall for certain that she's been in space arc flashforwards past now. I still haven't checked that.
