And what happens when most of DC's readers decide to take Grant Morrison's advice?

Advocate of fanfiction as I am, I've never claimed that fanfiction fills the same niche as professional writing; and the people who perform each function have different behavior sets expected or even required of them. Morrison's remark lacked professionalism.

Paul, it's been a "fanfiction writer takeover" for the last decade -- even farther back, if you look at Rascally Roy's All-Star Squadron.

Oh yeah, and the same thing is going on at the BBC with Doctor Who this century. The difference is, I don't recall Roy Thomas or Russell Davies ever responding to criticism by advising consumers to take their business away from his bosses.
