I won't tell you what's after the credits, except that it's way far out in left field, totally unexpected, and ridiculously hilarious. I liked the film, but I don't know what it says when its most creative scene comes at the point when the audience has gone.
My kids and I LOVED Winnie the Pooh. It was so much better than the efforts of the last 20+ years. It had clever humor that didn't rely on bodily emissions humor and charmed even my jaded about-to-be 2nd grader. They have talked about nothing else. We saw Cars 2 two weeks ago and they haven't mentioned it since. But with WTP they are re-enacting many of the scenes.
Sadly, I won't get to see HP until it comes on video. But I promise to catch up on the other DVD's before then. I still need to see Half Blood Prince.
(I was really puzzled, when I went to see Super 8, by the people leaving during the credits. Normally it's understandable, but Super 8 has an extra sequence that runs during the credits and starts almost immediately, and people kept leaving anyway. Oh, well. Think how boring the world would be if we were all the same.)
I was watching the DVD of Gremlins 2 the other day (well, there is no accounting for taste, after all), and saw something I think is rare: additional content AFTER the MPAA seal has scrolled onto the screen. (Daffy contesting Porky's place doing the That's All Folks thing, in keeping with the starting animation where he tries to displace Bugs in the Warner Brothers Animation logo...) Normally, I thought once the MPAA seal was there, that was pretty much it.
I don't remember seeing anything after the credits on Harry Potter, but I might have been distracted at a crucial moment when I saw it with the Higginses tonight.
