One of my favorite Peter Falk moments is from _The Balcony_, a movie he was in with Shelly Winters (and Leonard Nimoy!). Falk plays a police chief, Winters the owner of a brothel. When a revolution sweeps the country, Falk takes shelter in the brothel, and explains to Winters how dire the situation is. After he recites a partial list of government figures who have been executed, she asks "What about [another leader] is he still alive?" Falk answers "I sincerely hope not. They're parading his head around town tied to the handlebars of a bicycle."
