Thank goodness about that movie trailer: it was shaping up as a truly dreadful romcom. Everything's better with amphibians.

stoplookingup tweeted about a comment she'd read somewhere in which someone opined that Amy was all the worst aspects of Rose bundled together. It seems to me natural, perhaps inevitable (even if Moffat isn't consciously or unconsciously saying to himself, "Now, here's where I show how Russell went wrong"), that someone who liked Rose and her arc could be put off by Amy and her arc.
