I put AKOTAS characters in today's movie instead of the fanfiction characters who were in the original version because the AKOTAS site is the one where I'm not running out of room. Also - I admit - much as I love fanfiction, part of the reason I started AKOTAS in the first place was to create a body of work without the baggage others lay onto fanfiction; and in case this stuff takes off I want the same for it.

(Tonight I looked at the VHS that was my "animator's sketchbook" till the Amiga's monitor died. There's almost an hour of material there. Its last entries are dated May 1996 - almost exactly ten years ago.)

Has Morgan always had a white monolith for a time machine and I never noticed?

No. In KAITAS her time machine disguised itself against each new environment while Merlin's, being broken or second-rate or something, didn't. I don't think she has a time machine yet in AKOTAS, actually; which is why, when I went to substitute her for the Master in a bit that had his TARDIS in it, her time machine ended up so bland and featureless and anonymous. It's wrong anyway; Avalonian time machines are (speaking of Looney Tunes) portable holes in disguise rather than freestanding gates in disguise like TARDISes are. Strictly I ought've put it agains the hill, but then she'd've been at the wrong angle to shoot the hill, so I didn't.

I don't think the joke would be affected if you took out the materialisation, stuck a roof on it, and told everybody that it is and always has been, despite what you may think you remember just a hut that was conveniently located for Morgan to hide in.
