I got introduced to the Expanded Universe when I got pulled into a Star Wars Saga tabletop campaign. I've picked up, um, far too much about it via Wookieepedia.

My general assessment?

I sure don't want to drag myself through the novels (or the video games), but it makes a TERRIFIC RPG setting.
