Sep. 26th, 2010 03:04 am- 08:24:49: This weekend's project: clearing off the DVR of summer stuff meant to be burnt to disk. Cuz IT'S FILLING UP AGAIN WTF NEW TV SEASON
- 09:06:56: (Surprised I can type in netspeak when I want to, grasshopper? The reason you can't teach an old dog new tricks is because he knows them.)
- 09:07:01: It wears off. RT @jephjacques Just found my first grey hair. Kind of exciting, actually.
- 10:55:57: May not have access to the IgLou email address this week. Use the AKOTAS email address till further notice.
- 12:14:40: Diet caffeine-free Coke. What's the point? (Unless you're diabetic.) (Or going to sleep soon.) (Or like the taste better. Whatever.)
- 15:26:09: Recording music off YouTube for the first time in months. Almost forgot what the .wav recording program is called.
- 15:26:49: I always thought Natalie Umbruglia looks like Susan Foreman
- 15:27:09: mustn't cough mustn't cough
- 15:33:32: Ha! Found the Carnegie Hall Sing Sing Sing video that I couldn't find the first time I did recording.
- 16:03:03: Well. Part of the reason I stopped recording music off YouTube all the time is it's got hard to think of things I want.
- 16:05:51: Or I couldn't find what I want. E.g., the keywords "chapin salt and pepper" bring up two covers and a recent group I'm not interested in.
- 16:49:59: Saving soundtrack music from The Wrath of Khan. Haven't heard this outside of watching the film in years, and wow that makes it powerful.
- 19:51:03: #drwho fanfiction from @dduane, with recipes: pizza dough http://bit.ly/cacMok sauce http://bit.ly/aNrJkS
- 21:12:58: #AKOTAS updated: opportunity knocks. http://tinyurl.com/akotas/2320.htm #webcomics #kingarthur
- 21:58:29: Hero of Three Faces updated: Grace Holloway, every once in a while. http://tinyurl.com/3f4c3s/aatb.htm #3faces #fanfiction #doctorwho
- 22:54:15: Maybe this wasn't the full Sing Sing Sing after all

Date: 2010-09-28 01:14 am (UTC)If it's a published work, is it fanfiction? The word used to mean unlicensed derivative work, but so many people use it these days to refer to any derivative work (I do it myself sometimes, referring to Virgil, Shakespeare and Malory) that I think we need a new word that means what fanfiction used to mean.
