If you're one of those who argue that last winter's record snowfalls and low temperatures refute the existence of the climate change that because of its overall trend has been dubbed "global warming", what do you think now that record highs are killing people this week?

Also, the real concern is climate change, not global warming. The weather's becoming more extreme at both ends of the spectrum.

The problem is that people assume "global warming" means "everywhere across the globe gets hotter" (which is demonstrably not happening), wheras it actually means "on average, the whole globe is getting hotter" (which demonstrably *is* happening).

More heat = more energy => more "stuff happens", whatever that stuff may be. Another term for heating things up is "thermal excitation", and the one thing it guarantees is that the weather will get more "exciting"! =:o\

Those excitables, now ...

Global thermal excitation?
