Set during Broken Bow and may not stand alone well. Prequel to my Angel/Doctor Who/Star Trek: Enterprise/Buffy the Vampire Slayer crossover For To Carry Me Home (and probably ought to have been reprinted to LJ first).
Being set in my crossover universe of the time, this story incorporates the Rowan Atkinson incarnation of the Doctor from Curse of the Fatal Death during the time that his traveling companion was Padme Amidala of Naboo.
Summary: The Doctor lands on the Enterprise NX-01 during its surprise first mission and, despite his familiarity with the history of Starfleet, is subject to some surprises of his own.

"What didn't you listen to?" asked Padme.

"I said it would probably take the Time Lords to have done this, didn't I?" He could speak freely because he had rejoined Padme in the brig.

"The Time Lords? But you said Time Lords aren't supposed to interfere in history."

"That's a half-truth, notwithstanding that even most Time Lords believe it. I learned differently when I first wore the Presidential link to the matrix data bank. The true cause of the Time Lords is to preserve history.

"In fact, future Federation archaeologists in stumbling across some of our more primitive artifacts have taken to calling us 'Preservers' ..."
