Two weeks ago I wrote:

It's been brought to my attention that there are LJers who prefer to be asked before being friended. ... For the record, I don't hold this preference.

However, if you do friend me, when I see that you've done it I shall assume I may friend you back without offense. As I've just done to a couple of people. Hi!
