Disclaimer: This work is derivative of property of Paramount Pictures and the BBC. No profit shall be made and no market of the owner(s) is infringed upon.
Set during Broken Bow and may not stand alone well. Prequel to my Angel/Doctor Who/Star Trek: Enterprise/Buffy the Vampire Slayer crossover For To Carry Me Home (and probably ought to have been reprinted to LJ first).
Being set in my crossover universe of the time, this story incorporates the Rowan Atkinson incarnation of the Doctor from Curse of the Fatal Death during the time that his traveling companion was Padme Amidala of Naboo.
Summary: The Doctor lands on the Enterprise NX-01 during its surprise first mission and, despite his familiarity with the history of Starfleet, is subject to some surprises of his own.

"I was there when Earthpeople made their first contact with the Klingons," the Doctor said to Padme now that they were alone. "It was decades from now, after Earth and Vulcan and many other worlds have formed a peaceful Federation."

"Are you saying history has been changed?"

"In a major way. The Web of Time itself must be in danger of unraveling."

"Maybe it's not real history. I mean, maybe it's an event that won't be preserved in the records. That'd explain why there's nothing about you in the Starfleet records of this time, though you're here now."

The Doctor shook his head. "Not possible. It's not as if Archer has stumbled on the Klingon planet on his way somewhere else, and would be assumed lost in space if the mission goes wrong. Archer's been sent on this mission by Earth government, in Earth's very first exploratory space vessel. This is too big not to influence Earth history from now on - which means this whole galaxy's history, and then the universe's."

"Who could have created such a major change?"

"I wish I knew. I could barely pull it off myself if I wanted to. It would almost take the power of the Time Lords themselves. I simply must investigate, and that means observing events as they unfold in this new history."

"Perhaps you should have thought of that before your abrupt change of heart made Captain Archer suspicious enough to throw us in the brig."
