Today for an LJ comment I happened to have cause to run down the links for the two (that I know of) instances when I've been referenced at Something Awful On The Web, and I decided I need to preserve the links in my own journal.

• January 2003: featured as an Awful Link of the Day, for KAITAS, fanfiction and triangle cartoons
• January 2010: bitched about in the forums, for AKOTAS, by someone who's confounded that I should be in the Mythadventures credits

Edit 3/1/10 Aaand in February's top ten referrals I find that I've been linked to from PortalOfEvil.com! Thanks for the traffic, evil.

How rude of them! I've had lots of fun reading AKOTAS. Every once in a while I'm hobbled by not knowing some of the characters in the triangle cartoons, but the ones that give me the most trouble are not from AKOTAS, but the other one.

Any publicity is good publicity. Just so long as they spell your name right. Which in your case is no minor task.

That's pretty much how I look at it: they may diss me, but they're linking to me.

And as for namespelling: Who'd've thought before about fifteen years ago that having a unique character string to search on would be such an advantage?
