I've been saying for time time now (though, if in a post in my own journal, inadequately tagged [edit it was here]) that there's no such thing as "old school" Doctor Who and "new school" Doctor Who, but rather that there's 20th century Doctor Who and Russell T. Davies Doctor Who and we can't generalize about 21st century Doctor Who till we see what trends of Davies' are continued by his successors.

Trend one: Doctors in contemporary clothes (SPOILERS).

Now I can go back and edit my cartoons with the new incarnation to be wearing his real costume.
