Since a week ago when I commemorated the anniversary of Curse of the Fatal Death with a collection of cartoons from the time featuring Rowan Atkinson's one-off ninth Doctor, I've been poking through the archives of dwfiction. They go back to 2004, so I've been immersed in Doctor Nine stories ... Christopher Eccleston and Richard E. Grant, who voiced a one-off ninth Doctor on the BBC website to commemorate Doctor Who's 40th anniversary in 2003, just before it hit the news that Eccleston would be reviving the character for tv in 2005.

You totally found REG!Doc's voice; my mind's ear absolutely hears Grant delivering those lines. Especially that bit about rules; brilliantly done.
