I've installed the most recent Windows Updates on my laptop and now Firefox won't open. Help.

Which Firefox are you using?

If nothing else works, you can always go to Control Panel and uninstall the latest Update, see if that does anything.

As far as I know, I'm using the latest Firefox. It's always updating itself without asking.

When I looked at Add/Remove Programs, I saw the updates in question listed, but I didn't see Firefox. How suspicious is that? No seriously, I don't know, how suspicious is that?

This version is listed on Add/Remove Programs, as Mozilla Firefox 2.0.0.17. Firefox 3.x will probably make itself known to Windows differently. I wouldn't call it suspicious exactly, just MS's usual incompetence. A few months ago, a Windows Update locked down my firewall from ZoneAlarm. I suspect if you can get to the Firefox support pages, someone will be along with a patch in a few hours.

Recently, I got my poor computer victimized by a major virus. Fortunately, I was able to restore my main drive without losing everything on my second drive. But things are still a bit rough. Argh.
