Friending policy

Someone on my flist put up a comment on their friending policy and I thought it might be helpful to restate mine every once in awhile.

I have no objection to anyone friending me. What I write (or draw), I write (or draw) to be read. Now, when I was new, I was eventually given to understand that some people prefer not to be friended without being asked, and I'm too shy or proud or something to do that; so, since I learned that, I stopped. However, if you friend me I reserve the right to friend you back. I also reserve the right not to be engaged by the content of your journal and to unfriend you without offense, and naturally I extend you the same right.
