Summary: The Doctor was fascinated on a visit to Christopher Pike's Enterprise to discover in use a calender of negative dates, counting up to stardate zero. By accident or design the TARDIS places him on the Enterprise then; and the assumption of command by one James T. Kirk is not the most cataclysmic event of the day.
Notes: In the comments of The Yellow Age I was asked for Captain Kirk's initial encounter with the Doctor.

Thanks for reading.

I only hope the upcoming "revisited/reinvention" movie will be as entertaining as this.

(I have to say that the rumors of Gary Sinese as McCoy make me happy. He's more DeForest Kelly than DeForest Kelly was!)

And speaking of casting... I'm a regular viewer of Criminal Minds. While watching the serious, determined, loyal, devoted, honorable, and seemingly incorruptable Agent Hotchner in the Season Finale, my brain flashed, "he's so Lancelot".

Not just ANY Lancelot, mind you. He's certainly not the arrogant bastard from Camelot.

He's the Lancelot from AKOTAS -- who has, it seems, become the definitive version for me.

Thomas Gibson even resembles your version of Lance.

It's contagious, I tell you. Now you've got ME doing it.

He's pretty tall, or, at least, CARRIES himself tall. I THINK of him as towering over the other cast members, though now I have to actually watch another episode to see if that's the case. Mandy Patinkin isn't exactly short, if memory serves.

Adorable. Even though this is a short comic, you do a good job with James T. Kirk. It is good how you have him being the one to come up with a quick, out of the box solution. Very Kirklike, and part of what made the character so interesting in comparison to other sci fi characters.
