It keeps popping up on my flist that Harry Potter's Daniel Radcliffe is appearing onstage in Equus, nude scenes and all. But one of the articles linked to stated the play was written by Paul Shaffer. The play was written by Peter Shaffer. Paul Shaffer is David Letterman's sidekick. There must be a great joke in this, but I can't come up with it because I don't watch David Letterman. In fact, I started not watching David Letterman before he was popular.
Bonus points to whoever can reconstruct the chain of association that led to the title of this post.

"One step closer (to the shower stalls) and you'll get the whole picture!"
I never liked that scene, since she says the reason she wants to stay is because she's a soldier, and she wants to do her duty... but if that's the case, then she'd follow the orders she's been given, as well as take the lives of her staff into consideration above her own petty wants. She could have made a good argument to stay, but that wasn't it, in my armchair opinion.

she's a soldier, and she wants to do her duty... but if that's the case, then she'd follow the orders she's been given: That's a point. On the other hand, for all that she's Regular Army she's not really a soldier, she's a nurse; neither in the days this was set nor the days this was shot were women combat officers. Margaret must have been a nurse because it was her only in into the army where she wanted to be, but she was too good a nurse not to have been a nurse first. And a nurse's duty is to treat the wounded. Potter points out in The Interview that you can't command medical personnel in the same mode as you command combat personnel, and they don't serve in the same mode either. Her argument wasn't faulty, it was merely presented poorly. But Potter's an army doctor and knew what she meant.
