scarfmanIt's the weekend and there were two mass shootings this week, both in Texas, and I should reprint my second amendment rant AGAIN and sometimes I'm just too tired. But (correct me if this didn't happen):
I saw on social media that Greg Abbott was on Meet The Press this morning and do you know whom he blamed gun violence on?
"The government".
[Disclaimer: I know perfectly well that the fascist GOP say whatever comes into their heads which they think, with years-honed instincts, their voter base will swallow uncritically, without believing it themselves and without regard to the critical thinking their voter base has been trained to operate without.]
"The government", Governor? The institution whose chief executive officer on the state level - the level where your political party believes authority and power should and do rest - is yourself, Governor? The institution whose function your elected office is named after, Governor? So you agree, the responsibility for all these gun deaths is yours, Governor?
