For a few years I've been considering the possibility of logging into World Of Warcraft not so much so I can play (though I might) but so I can chat with family who are there, and recently one of them offered me the login for his account. I've finally got all the software pulled together and am ready to actually figure out how the game works. Today I clicked PLAY and got an existing PC whom I took for a dwarf from the size of everything else. I wandered around for about forty minutes, learning how to move and how to read a map and how to change POV and how to walk your spirit from the graveyard to your corpse to resurrect, and not learning how to talk with anyone or how to even know which people are PCs or to figure out whether anyone else on the account is online to chat with or to pick up objects or to fight back when the drones/bots guarding an armory object to your tourism.
