Oct. 5th, 2016 06:10 amWhen I got up this morning the sick cat didn't appear to be breathing any more. I expect to get home from work and find she hasn't moved. My mother had emailed overnight to offer to pay for the vet, but also noted that the humane society will pick up a body (which she probably knows from experience). That's where we got that cat. I'll call them today.
I don't use the cats' names (or anyone's really - autism, man) but my wife named her Chiana, because she's gray, and always called her Chia. She is survived by Mei-Mei, named after Simon Tam's nickname for his sister. Whatever it is that got Chiana didn't seem to inhibit her quality of life till the last day.
Thanks to all who had well wishes and offers to help.
