If you remain a fan of the invented characters in my blue binder cartoons, the ones you were in: I had fun blogging kind of a lot about them recently at Tumblr and I decided I should reprint those entries at LiveJournal as backups.

This is the only appearance in online "original dailies" of Newton Dexter's android wife Monica, poking fun at his interpersonal skills much the same as he does himself in the one where he recruits Akili into the second incarnation of Infinity Labs. Newton originally built Monica to be his lab assistant and things developed from there.

In the original characters' storyline that was going to wrap up on the dailies' 25th anniversary in 2001, Akili and Monica were going to be having a love affair, with Newton perfectly aware of how they felt about each other but oblivious to their feelings of guilt for betraying him. The conflict between Infinity Labs and the governments of the world was to come to a head, and the children of the Moreau Project were going to settle another planet because that was something Infinity Labs had been doing for people for a few years, and Newton and Monica were going back to the Philosophers' Club. But none of that happened.
