The car is found, and is in the city impound lot. Since the registration wasn't current, there'll be some red tape acrobatics before we actually get it back. But all's fair that ends fair.

Was this where it disappeared to? Or did it do some joy riding along the way?

I hope nothing is broken and the registration wasn't too expensive to update.

They won't tell us what happened to the car till we show up with the title but there's no reason for the city to have towed it off of private property.
