Just a guess on my part, but it sounds like it might be a problem in the internal power source. You might need to have someone take a look at it.

Well, you must have left it *somewhere*. Have you checked all your pockets?

Any more problems with the OS? If not, you could have a bad cell in one of the batteries.

Yeah. There's no telling when that might be able to be done.

I got the missing OS message once more early during a series of reboots and restarts I did Wednesday evening just to make sure I was clearing everything I could, but that at least seems to have settled down.

Replacing the battery/ies sounds like a good idea, for the unforeseeable future.

I might suggest going by Office Depot or Staples. They will usually take a look for free.
