Err, apparently not. I was thinking of "bequeathed to the UNIT archive by Captain Jack Harkness on the occasion of his death. Well, one of them," (which wasn't actually Kate, I know) and, I guess, Clara surviving being split into various parts at the end of "The Name of the Doctor"? Why I thought of that instead of the riding-the-TARDIS-through-space thing, I have no idea. Maybe because that seemed obvious? (How do people miss those lines, anyway?)
Which reminds me, by the way, that I've wondered how, if the vortex killed him, Jack managed to hold onto the TARDIS without being swept away. My interpretation of that is that the TARDIS wasn't really scared of him -- she likes him! -- so hung onto him rather than lose him. She was reacting to the Doctor's fear when she took off. (My hand-waving headcanon, so there :) )
