Two comments:

(1) Re: the teleport- I presume the pink is what happens when the machine set itself to 'puree'? (For a more realistic version, check out the Mythbusters episode where they paint with dynamite.)

(2) Re: the song- I don't get it either. (But if someone actually got a song about M. Night Godawful Shyamalan recorded and on mainstream radio, I believe I shall be ill.)

Arthur is filking Black Betty or whatever its title is.

As for the teleporter, there was a lively discussion on the message board worried whether the teleporting matter involved was a sentient being; by people who'd forgotten this early AKOTAS.
