"I pick the one that DOESN'T want Lancelot."

Brilliant. It's a classic AKOTAS-Arthur Win-Win. "The two people I care about the most get to be together; the Law is satisfied, and everyone saves face; and yeah, I may be taking a hit for the team, but at least I get a Guenevere who wants me and me alone."

And that last factor is probably the lowest on his list.

I'm not as sure as you are that Arthur's not putting himself first (for once). Or that it's all win-win. Time will tell.

Heh. If it IS lowest on his list, it's sure not very far down.

And of COURSE it's not all win-win. This is Arthur's Pooh-bear naive optimism at the fore, and it's going to work out about as well as, say, an Archie Andrews Foolproof Plot to take both Betty and Veronica to the same dance.

Besides, if it were all win-win, we wouldn't have seen all those flash-forwards of Space Arthur-Guenevere-Lancelot as an apparently-stable threesome, would we?
