[livejournal.com profile] ladyrutile suggests in the comments on my last post that "what [I] dislike is unheralded change". Which speaks if laterally to the factor that makes me as jealous of my downtime as I am right now. This perhaps ought to have been an element of the previous essay, but I didn't think of it then, and I think it would have been clutter there.

[livejournal.com profile] qtrhorserider graduated with her J.D. last May. She took the bar exam in February and will find out the results in April. Then she gets to hunt for a job or start a practice of her own. The point is, all this time and for awhile yet, we'll be living in a transition period; with many facets of our lives suspended between what-was-for-three-years (four actually, since she did her last year of undergraduate full-time) and whatever-comes-next-which-is-nebulous-itself. While not exactly unheralded - it was all in the program - this is, in a word, stressful, and when I say I need my downtime ... well, I mean it.

There probably won't be a Doctor Who sketch for today.

(Say, did I mention that Pegi is now married to my junior high school P.E. teacher? Did I mention that I must now weigh two or three times what I did then? Did I mention the word stressful?)
