1 Why do you write fanfic?
Inspired by the characters.
2 When did you write your first fanfic and which fandom was it for?
Not counting the captioned picture of Batman my mother saved in her scrapbook, I was writing Star Trek fanfiction for fanzines when Star Trek fanzines were all there were. (Early 70s.)
3 Which fandoms do you, or have you, written for?
Including crossovers with each other, at least Doctor Who, all Star Treks, Buffy the Vampire Slayer/Angel, Superman (all media) and DC Comics, M*A*S*H, Star Wars, all Stargates, Babylon 5, Marvel Comics, Absolutely Fabulous, The Vicar of Dibley, Indiana Jones, Firefly, Peter Cushing's 1960 Dalek movies, Torchwood, Tremors, Dune, Battlestar Galactica, Get Smart, Bewitched, Hogan's Heroes, Dollhouse, ...
4 Do you read much fanfic or do you mainly write?
Read too.
5 What comes easiest for you when writing? (dialogue, descriptions, plot, characterizations, humour, angst...)
Dialog.
6 Which genres do you mainly write? (action, angst, dark, drama, horror, humour...)
Comic strips.
7 Which genres will you not write?
Slash. No inspiration.
8 Are reader comments/responses important?
Lack of them doesn't stop inspiration.
9 Do you use a beta reader?
No.
10 Which is your favourite character to write fanfic for and why?
The Doctor is my Mary Sue.
11 Which are your favourite ships (including friendships) that you write the most?
The Doctor/starship captain.
12 Do you have characters that are so strongly established that they're in your heads?
The leads of the first half-dozen or so properties listed above.
13 Which characters are you most comfortable doing a POV for? Which is the hardest?
I usually avoid the Doctor, at least in crossovers, because (until recently) the other property was probably the one a reader was more familiar with. The only first-person POV in my stories is Angel's.
