Professor Judy Shoaf, the Arthurnet moderator, today contributed to a discussion started by someone baldly stating, "Everything about Arthur is fiction":

I asked a new class in a course "Tales of King Arthur" if they thought King Arthur ever really lived. About a third of them said "No, he was a composite of various historical people." About another third said, "Yes, he was a composit of various historical people..."

I laughed for thirty seconds solid.

So far all my Season 2008 speculation fiction has posited that Martha was brought by circumstances to call the Doctor before she felt ready. What if instead it was he who didn't feel ready yet (and may never be, really)? Also, what if Martha and Donna didn't bond instantly? More story fragments dialogs.
