I smell a crossover According to the narration in Dark Kingdom the events of Seigfried's story are contemporary to the reign of the historical Arthur (if any), "fifteen hundred years ago". This miniseries was even directed and co-written by the director of The Mists of Avalon and touched on the migration north of Christianity that was Mists' central theme. (Perhaps I ought to mention that I've already scripted the AKOTAS that won't air for seventeen years in which we find out what's Odin's place in the contemporary time zone.)
Too fast? My new program of eating fewer snacks - since I've always maintained I'd be fine if I'd just exercise, but I never exercise - has lost me twenty pounds in a month.
Sleeping beauty qtrhorserider has a sore throat. She napped for two hours yesterday. She never naps. Now she's still asleep at
eleven noon when usually she can't sleep while the sun's up. True, we went to bed at midnight because she knew after her nap there was no point earlier, but still.
Comedy is hard Ben Stiller and/or whoever directed There's Something About Mary is a great artist. Everyone but me best remembers the hair gel scene. I remember the scene at the end when Stiller is leaving Cameron Diaz and Bret Favre at Diaz's house. Stiller's shambling and sobbing perfectly capture the heartbreak of sacrificing your own happiness for the superior happiness of the one you love. He nails it, on the head, to the floor. ...And then - because this is, after all, There's Something About Mary - he takes it far enough over the top (but just far enough) so it's funny instead of heartbreaking to the audience. That is great art.
