This time for sure!
Oct. 5th, 2007 09:06 pmNow that I've actually seen Last of the Time Lords, I stand by what I kept saying before I saw it: A funeral pyre doth not an allusion to Star Wars make.
Also, pursuant to my previous argument on what Rose actually meant to the Doctor, as opposed to what he thinks she meant, I think it's suggestive that the Doctor stopped chasing Rose though she's still alive but didn't stop chasing the Master till the Master died out of spite.
Also I want to say once for the record, despite any impression given by anything I may write or may have written in discussion or in fanfiction, that I don't 'ship the Doctor and the Master. Any appearance that I may be doing so simply derives from the appearance that Russell T. Davies did so and, thus, merely accurately reflects the source.

Wow! =8oO I never would have thought of that connection. That's... deep. =:o}
Also puts an added layer of perspective onto the end of ... um... the story whose title I can never remember. Y'know, the one where the sweet innocent fifth Doctor met Peri, dropped off Turlough, euthenased Kamelion, and stood and watched the Master burn to death!
No wonder he went straight into "Caves of Androzani" with a secret "heroic death" wish... =:o\
(Big Finish audios, especially the wonderful Erimem and "...Ish", not withstanding.)
