You know, I noticed this week, when I put text in the div for the first week in ages, that the lead font tag was missing in my template code. (I noticed when I proofed my code and the text didn't appear: without that font tag telling it to be white, the text was black on a black background.) I thought I'd just deleted it by accident when I deleted table tags per last week's HTML discussion in this space. But now I bet I'd done it a long time ago, and never noticed because I don't usually insert text.
