GARRITY: ...After ... years of daily drawing, I've reached the point where I can pull off a very simple illustration without totally embarrassing myself, but that's about the limit of my artistic ability. ... I get a lot of pleasure out of drawing, though. ... A lot of really gifted artists seem to hate drawing. Derek Kirk Kim, for instance. He bitches and moans about it all the time. Maybe if I learned all the technical skills and theory necessary to draw well, I'd find it too much of a chore.
