Dec. 6th, 2006 07:47 amThe new majority leader in Congress is making a weekly session schedule that would have the reps working almost five days a week instead of, as last year, almost two. Last year's Congress was in session 103 days, which is less than "the famous Do Nothing Congress of 1948". Georgia Republican Jack Kingston has been quoted, "Keeping us up here eats away at families. Marriages suffer. The Democrats could care less about families -- that's what this says."

Date: 2006-12-06 10:18 pm (UTC)I heard it on The Todd & Tyler Radio Empire. It's the sort of rocknroll station morning show in which the legitimate newsguy sidekick picks out the stories he knows the liberal pottymouth hosts will slag on. It originates on an FM station here in Omaha but it's also simulcast on an AM sports station, and has recently been syndicated to a station in some middle-sized town in Missouri.
