they come around again

When you see this, post five unpopular fandom opinions in your journal.

Hm. I've already done this one once. I wonder whether I can come up with five more.

  1. Oo, oo! Last time I didn't think of this till the next day: There is no such thing as canon!
  2. Enterprise didn't suck.
  3. Batman would so get his ass handed to him, unless Superman was fighting to lose, which he would.
  4. Breaking up Uhura and Spock in a throwaway sentence of narration so that you can get on with your 'ship is wrong.
  5. Everyone who played the Doctor earlier than Paul McGann did is too old to reprise the role.
  • Bonus popular opinion Paul McGann should reprise the role.

I'm still hoping (a bit) for animated Who, which would allow the old actors to reprice the voices of their roles (well, not the first three, but...).

Having seen Sylvester McCoy on stage recently (February), I do think he could still reprise the role again. He wouldn't look quite the same, but then he didn't in 1996 either and that didn't hurt. He still has the same build and voice, and all he'd really need is a wig.

Enterprise didn't suck.

THANK YOU.

Actually I thought that showed that he [i]could[i] appear (Davison)...

It had its moments.

It actually kind of followed the TNG Quality Arc - wherein the first couple of seasons were kind of dreckish, but it picked up steam as it went. The final story arc with the Earth-First group and Trip & T'Pol's baby was as good as anything Trek ever made. Too bad they wound the series up with the lame "Make All the Regulars Holo-Characters in Riker's Angsty Angst" episode.

I didn't have trouble with Riker's holosuite. I have a basic issue against the chinless wonder, anyway. I just "know" the whole series was not that, for Riker is definitely not privvy to the fact that T'Pol had a human lover, etc etc etc.
