12-3: Classics? What classic? What's classic about strangling by hand- one in each hand?

I interpreted the visual as the "Three Stooges" Colliding Heads maneuver. Out of character for Lancelot, but desperate times and all that.

If that's the case, then the gag really doesn't work in triangle format.

Nature of the game, I guess... Sometimes it works, sometimes it don't. The cool part is this kind of feedback (something he wouldn't get from a syndicated strip, probably) lets him know immediately, so he can adjust things next time.

I thought it was a reference to Herakles strangling two serpents while still in his cradle.

(One of the more faithful -- and funnier -- moments from the Disney version.)

Could be... but that'd seem more plausible if Lance had been laying down, maybe. I dunno, I forget the full Kal-El Herakles/Hercules stories. The Disney version's the most fresh in my mind, which does not say good things about my classical education. ^_^
