Arthur 11/10/06

Here are cartoons from Arthur, King of Time and Space since last Friday. Fanfiction cartoons in a separate post.

AKOTAS hit 900 consecutive daily updates this week.

How many, if any, of you would friend an LJ account whose sole purpose was publishing AKOTAS in daily increments rather than weekly, without a cut, including the text section (on days when there is one)? How many of you actively prefer this way?

Thanks for reading.

I quite like to read the text sections, and I don't really care about the cut either way. But I rather like being able to see several increments of the tale at once. So... I don't know.

A number of web strips work use LJ for their daily publishing, and I think it works great. The ability to comment on an individual strip on the day it comes out would be wonderful... More than once I've had a comment in mind for a given AKOTAS strip but by the time Friday rolled around I'd either forgotten or thought better of it, for good or ill. (That said, 11/9's strip may well be turned into a catch phrase for me. ^_^)

I would freind it, yes. As long as it's an acceptable amount of effort for you, I say go for it.

In your case it's not a great matter: Your website is comfortable enough, your update frequency is reliable, and your talkaboutcomics forum is mandatory anyways.

But I would prefer reading AKOTAS daily on my flist, if that was an option. Ever since [livejournal.com profile] mousewax_feed appeared on LJ, I've rarely visited http://www.mousewax.com/ -- and not only because Brandon's update frequency is not quite as reliable as yours ...

Beware: If your uncut images end up on my flist, they'll be hit more often.

Oh, and: You're not planning on hand-coding these posts, are you?

In that case, I'd say thank you for the thought, but no: Life's too short.

(Menial manual tasks are for computers: I automate everything. But then, that's my job ...)

I think, on the whole, I prefer this way. If I absolutely have to have a daily fix, I just go to the AKOTAS website.

I would love to see an lj account for AKOTAS. I love seeing the comic journals I have friended pop up on my flist, and it's easier for me to leave comments via lj than on the forum.

I do really like to visit the site and reread earlier comics though and I have my favorites bookmarked so I can pull them up easily (Depressed Lancelot! Yey Or something like that. But I write a depressed Lancelot so naturally that would appeal to me, even though I like your Lancelot a lot better!)
