The TARDIS faded away with the Doctor, Martha, Jack and Saxon's body on it. Tish was simultaneously comforting Lucy Saxon and making sure she didn't go anywhere before some authorities without PTSD came aboard. It was the first time Francine had been alone with Clive without guns held on them for a year.
Clive approached Francine slowly, as if scared he might scare her off. He stopped in front of her, placed his hands on her shoulders, and spoke. "This year has changed me," he said. "But not that way."
Francine bubbled over with honest, non-hysterical laughter and fell into his arms. "Oh god," she gasped, "I was afraid you were going to say something romantic and stupid."
When she was done, he said, "You get some help, you. We'll all need it. Harkness'll know professionals who'll understand."
"I will."
"And if you ever need anything, call. You or the kids."
"I know." Francine pulled back and looked him over.
"I want to see Annalise," Clive confessed. "I miss her."
"You may have changed too much for her," Francine said, surprised at her own delicacy, and lack of rancor. "She'd never understand."
"She hasn't any brain," Clive admitted. "But neither does Winnie-the-Pooh." Francine bit her tongue on what she wanted to say to that, so Clive beat her to it: "And he's orange."
