Actually, reading through various other articles, it would appear that that KB number I just provided you with was incorrect, as someone mistyped on the Windows Secrets forum.
The one that messes up fonts is KB3013455. Microsoft knows, and last I heard were working on a fix for that patch. I suggest you just uninstall that one. From Microsoft's site: "This security update resolves one publicly disclosed and five privately reported vulnerabilities in Microsoft Windows. The most severe of the vulnerabilities could allow remote code execution if an attacker convinces a user to open a specially crafted document or visit an untrusted website that contains embedded TrueType fonts."
Known issues: "After you install security update 3013455, you may notice some text quality degradation in certain scenarios."
